Despite the chilly weather, Laingsburg Eye Care opened its doors with an “Aloha!” the 17th of November. Its luau themed trunk show brought a ray of sunshine to those in search of deals on eyewear. All frames were 50% off! Patients received a lei at the door with one of the letters in "Aloha" attached. Little "a" received 20% off their order for lenses; an "h" received 30%, all the way up to the big “A” that received 100% off their order of lenses. Congratulations to the 100% winner, Lois Janetzke! The staff was dressed in grass skirts and floral getup, but left the coconut bras for warmer weather. Laingsburg Eye Care staff took their frames off the shelf to make room for the new frames that frame representatives brought, showing brands like Harley Davison, Candies, and Savvy. Where frames ended, food began. Guests enjoyed fruits and veggies, along with other tropical indulgences. For those who still needed an eye exam, Dr. Marsha Brandon offered them a discounted exam: $49 instead of the usual $120. That’s a 59% savings! Laughs could be heard from all across town. Dr. Marsha Brandon wrapped up the night by performing a hula she learned in high school. After the party ended, Dr. Brandon could hardly stand the wait for next year’s trunk show.
